In the meeting held on Friday evening in the Parliament complex, in view of rising prices of onions, the serious discussion was held on the implementation of the import of onions to overcome its shortage.

According to sources, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, etc. were present in the meeting. At the end of the meeting, Amit Shah or any minister did not give any information in the media, but sources say that in the past, the cabinet had decided to import one lakh twenty thousand tons of onions. This meeting was called to implement that decision. Shah directed that onion should be imported as soon as possible.
