New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry to discuss the three important issues related to Assam, the National Citizenship Register (NRC), the demand for the grant of Scheduled Tribe status to six communities and the report of the committee constituted for the implementation of the important sub-section of the Assam Accord. High-level meeting is called here on Sunday. Officials have given information in this regard on Sunday.

The team of top officials of the state government, led by Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal, has reached Delhi for the national meeting. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and top officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs will attend the meeting. Giving information, a ministry official has told that the scheduled status of Scheduled Tribes to the Assam-centric NRC, six ethnic communities Koch-Rajbongshi, Tai-Ahom, Matak, Maron, Chutia and the tribes associated with the tea gardens in the meeting held on Sunday evening The committee's report on giving and implementing the sixth sub-section of the Assam Accord will be brainstormed.
