New Delhi: On the occasion of Republic Day, large-scale violence took place in the tractor march by farmers' organizations, which the Home Ministry has promptly sought a response from the police authorities. Further, issuing instructions on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs to take stringent action, it has been categorically stated that more security forces will be deployed in Delhi as and when required.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has taken a very serious note of the incident of violence at the Red Fort. In the case of miscreants entering the Red Fort and unfurling the flag, the Home Ministry has sought a response from the high officials of Delhi police as to how such a huge lapse has taken place. Where there was negligence. The Home Ministry has termed the incident as a major lapse in the security arrangements of the Red Fort, after which police officers have been instructed to take stern action against the miscreants. Orders have also been ordered to provide better treatment to the injured policemen.

According to the Home Ministry, which has been informed by the Delhi Police since last evening, the deployment of additional security forces was completed in violence-hit areas. The situation is currently under control in areas where violence erupted yesterday. The Home Ministry has said that more para-military forces will be deployed as and when required. A high-level meeting is underway in the Ministry of Home Affairs under the leadership of the Home Secretary. The meeting is attended by the Home Secretary, Secretary, Ministry of Law, Additional Secretary (UT), and IB officials.
