The Ministry of Home Affairs of India has suspended the offer letter for the appointment of a trainee IPS officer. He has been accused of allegedly exploiting his wife, forcibly divorcing and marrying another. After which the Ministry has taken this action. This step has been taken against them at a time when their training is going to start at the SVP National Police Academy (SVPNPA) located in Shivrampally, Hyderabad. The name of this 28-year-old IPS officer is KV Maheshwar Reddy.

For your information, let us telll you that the training of the new IPS batch selected in the National Police Academy (NPA) of Shivrampally is to start from Monday. A senior NPA official said that due to a fresh order from the MHA, Maheshwar Reddy cannot attend the training session and has been informed of it. In October, the Jawaharnagar police based his wife Bhavna Birudula's complaint against the trainee IPS. But a case was registered. Mamala has been registered against them under sections 498A, 323, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

After the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), NPA, National Scheduled Caste Commission sent information to the MHA about the criminal case against the IPS trainee, MHA director AK Saran issued an order suspending his appointment on Thursday. The MHA order states, 'The competent authority has considered the issue and in view of the fact that in the above case against you Pending the investigation / trial, it has been decided that your proposal for appointment of December 2, 2019 is deferred till further orders. However, after the completion of this hearing, the Ministry will review your appointment and after that you can participate in the training program of SVPNPA, Hyderabad without loss of seniority.
