Home ministry's big meeting on Delhi violence, Amit Shah says "There will be no shortage of security forces"

New Delhi: There is tension in many areas of North East Delhi regarding the Citizenship Amended Act (CAA). During the visit of US President Donald Trump to India, security personnel has been deployed amidst increasing incidents of violence. Meanwhile, a high-level meeting with Arvind Kejriwal was held with Union Home Minister Amit Shah over Delhi security. Apart from Shah, Delhi LG was also present in this meeting.

It is noteworthy that 7 people including a head constable have been killed and at least 105 people, including personnel of the paramilitary and Delhi Police Force, are said to have been injured in the violence that erupted on CAA on Sunday. At the same time, DMRC has closed the entry and exit gates of Jafrabad, Maujpur-Babarpur, Gokalpuri, Johri Enclave, and Shiv Vihar Metro stations as a precautionary measure.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has said that everybody wants the violence to stop, the meeting with the Home Minister was very positive, in which, rising above party politics, everyone has determined that this is a matter of our Delhi and we all together Will make peace in Delhi. The Home Minister has assured that there will be no shortage of police force.
