India Pakistan match collects a huge viewer and it creates a huge excitement for the cricket fans. Millions of cricket fans wait for the epic battle between the two nations. But due to political decisions between India and Pakistan, both nations are not playing any bilateral series.
Recently after the meeting between BCCI and Sports Ministry, BCCI told that the decision of having a bilateral series between the two nations is the decision of Prime Minister and Home Ministry. “Anyway, playing Pakistan or not, it is not only the decision of Sports Ministry but it lies mainly with PMO and the Home Ministry,” the official said.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is been signed between BCCI and PCB in 2014 to organize 6 series between the two nations from 2015 to 2023. But due to political pressure, India refused to tour Pakistan in 2015.
Last time the two nations played in a bilateral series was in 2012-13 in India. Pakistan won the ODI series by 2-1 and the T20 series ended up in a draw.
If the series between the two nations get approved by the Home Ministry, it would be a really big news for cricket fans, as cricket can’t get bigger than India vs Pakistan match.
