Honda has declared that the new 2022 CB250R motorcycle will be on sale in Malaysia. At 23,999 RPM, the motorcycle has been started (the equivalent of Rs 4.27 lakh as per current exchange rates). With the most recent upgrade, the motorbike was released with a number of changes, renewing its competition with rivals in the class including the KTM 250 Duke and the Yamaha FZ25.
A new suspension kit was added to the motorcycle with the 2022 update. At the front, it now has the newest Showa Big Piston Separate Function forks. A five-step adjustable mono-shock at the back supports this. Additionally, the bike now sports a new LCD instrument cluster that resembles the CB300R offered in the Indian market. A gear position indication is also visible on the screen. Other than these modifications, the motorcycle doesn't alter.
The motorcycle's 249 cc, single-cylinder engine continues to be its main power source and is responsible for producing a maximum of 27.6 horsepower and a maximum torque of 23.4 Nm. There is a 6-speed transmission included with the engine. It is a full 26kg lighter even though it has less power than KTM 200 Duke, its fiercest opponent.
The Malaysian-spec Honda CB250R is still quite similar to the CB300R offered in India in terms of specifications. It comes with dual-channel ABS and completes LED illumination as part of the basic package. However, given that it is positioned next to the CB300R, which is a motorcycle sold in India, it is unlikely to be introduced anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Honda has recently announced the launch of the new CB300F in India. The deliveries of the new bike also started earlier this week. It will be sold through HMSI's RedWing dealerships.
