Hong Kong Ocean Park’s New Offering Aquarium Yoga Amid Corona

A tagline by Hong Kong Ocean Park that "Be one with the fish" shows a new offering aquarium yoga by Ocean Park’s due to the outbreak of coronavirus.  As earlier the striking environment of a huge aquarium was filled with sharks, manta rays, and other aquatic life but on Thursday a yoga group performed some yoga poses as side planks, chair poses, and lunges, its arms outstretched to the ceiling.

Hong Kong’s cash-strapped Ocean Park has commenced offering fitness activities such as yoga, meditation, and dance classes to keep its flagging business afloat and to equalize intense losses due to coronavirus restrictions that have ravaged tourism in the Asian economic hub. It has been discovered that Ocean Park has also opened hiking trails underneath its cable car ride for the first time which encounters the South China Sea. Both parks are instructed to operate at a maximum of half-capacity and face masks remain compulsory. At over HK$6 billion in debt according to its latest annual report, Ocean Park secured a HK$5.4 billion ($580 million) government bailout in May which it said would help it stay functional for another year.
