Beijing: Its has been 30 years since the end of The 'Baltic Way'. 20 million people from Soviet Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania participated in the protest. The 600-km-long man-chain was formed by 20 million people in the protest to gain independence from the U.S.R. On the completion of 30 years of the Baltic Way this year, 2 lakh people in Hong Kong, on the lines of the Baltic Way, formed a 45-km-long human chain.

Built in the streets of Hong Kong, the human chain went from the Wei localities to the Lion Rock. The protesters took the torch with them to create a human chain, giving a beautiful view. On Friday, people protested fiercely against the Hong Kong administration and the Chinese government over their rights.

From the city's skyscrapers to ports, shopping malls, there was a peaceful human chain protest. In 1984, the United Kingdom and China signed the Sino-British Joint Deceration. It agreed to give Hong Kong autonomy, democratic rights and freedom. Human peace was created in Hong Kong on these issues.
