Yemen: Numerous civilians have been killed and injured as a result of the Houthis' "heinous" crimes in Yemen's Taiz governorate, according to Muammar Al-Eryani, the country's minister of information.

The minister denounced a recent Houthi drone attack that injured eight civilians, including a child, in Taiz, according to a statement on Yemen News Agency (SABA).

The Houthi militia bombed the village of Hamra in the Al-Majasha district, south of Hodeidah, with drone missiles hours prior to this heinous crime, injuring eight civilians and terrifying their fellow villagers who had just returned home after being internally displaced by the terrorist militia.

According to SABA, the injured civilians are receiving treatment at a hospital and are in critical condition.

Since the end of the UN ceasefire, the terrorist Houthi militia has been deliberately bombing populated villages in the governorates of Taiz, Hodeidah, Al-Dhalea, and Lahj with the intention of killing as many civilians as possible in response to the unexpected and unjustified silence of the international community.

Numerous landmine explosions and attacks were also carried out in the Sala district on Sunday, according to the National Committee for Investigations into Alleged Human Rights Violations (NCIAHRV), which found that they killed dozens of civilians.

According to SABA, the Eshraq al-Maqtari-led Committee team conducted a field investigation in Taiz's Sala neighbourhood.

The most recent incident in Sala that was reported involved a landmine explosion that left Nida Mansour, 16, and her sister injured and maimed, according to SABA.

As part of their investigation, the Committee's team went to the hospital where the victims were being treated.

Meanwhile, the UN has been urged to step up its efforts to aid Yemen's internally displaced people by Dr. Abd-Rabbu Miftah, the deputy governor of Marib governorate, according to SABA.

Humanitarian and relief efforts are falling short of the growing needs of the IDPs who have continued to arrive in Marib every day, he said.

He made his appeal during a meeting with Joyce Msuya, assistant secretary general for humanitarian affairs and deputy coordinator for relief emergencies, and the UN delegation that was in town on Sunday.
