Jaipur: The Jaipur rural police on Friday claimed to have solved the alleged rape and murder case of a four-year-old girl within 24 hours of recovering her body. With the help of 700 policemen, in Jaipur an investigation team arrested a rape accused.. A man has been arrested for raping and killing a 4-year-old girl. Jaipur Rural Superintendent of Police Shankar Dutt Sharma released more details about the probe.

As stated by Shankar Dutt Sharma, initially there was no significant evidence regarding the case. Defendant Suresh Kumar did not even use his mobile phone, which put the investigation in crisis. Suresh Kumar abducted a four-year-old girl on the way home. He was later raped and killed near a pond seven kilometers away.

When the locals came out to protest in the murder, it was stressed in severe pressure. However, about 700 policemen came together to investigate and caught the accused within 24 hours. The accused had been in hiding and the place was constantly changing.  He added the accused continued to change his location but they coorinated with local residents via a WhatsApp group and that too helped in arresting him. added that WhatsApp groups were formed with the help of locals in various places to search for the culprit and nab him.
