Hyundai India has introduced the revamped version of its popular Creta compact SUV, hitting the market with a starting price of Rs 10,99,990 on January 16.

This new model offers three engine choices, including the 1.5l Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol, 1.5l MPi Petrol, and 1.5l U2 CRDi Diesel engine. With versatility in mind, the vehicle is equipped with four transmission options: 6-speed Manual, IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), and 6-speed Automatic transmission.

The Creta's redesigned appearance showcases a fresh radiator grill and an upright hood design. It boasts features such as Horizon LED Positioning lamps & DRLs and Quad-beam LED headlamps.

The 1.5 L turbo gDi Petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed transmission, produces a powerful 117.5 Kw (160 PS) and a torque of 253 Nm (25.8 kgm), while maintaining an impressive fuel efficiency of 18.4 km/L, the company said.

Highlighting safety, the new Creta incorporates "70+ safety features, including 36 standard features like 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control, and many more," as per the official statement.

Available in seven variants, the vehicle comes in six mono-tone color options: Robust Emerald Pearl (New), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Titan Grey. Additionally, it offers a dual-tone color option in Atlas White with a Black Roof.

The Creta comes equipped with various features, including dual-zone automatic temperature control, a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, and an electric parking brake. Other notable features include a wireless charger, three C-type USB chargers, and a rear window sunshade.

Originally launched in India in 2015, the Hyundai Creta competes with popular models such as the Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor. Its top variants go head-to-head with the Tata Harrier and MG Hector in the market.
