To effectively track the progress made in the case of hunger, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) has defined a scoring system, called the Global Hunger Index (GHI). Through the Global Hunger Index, an attempt is made to assess the varied dimensional nature of hunger. For this, four key indicators of malnutrition are included in an index score. These four indices are as follows:
