There are several indices, with the help of which we can see the progress made in eliminating malnutrition. To effectively track the progress made in the case of hunger, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) has defined a scoring system, called the Global Hunger Index (GHI). Through the Global Hunger Index, an attempt is made to assess the varied dimensional nature of hunger. For this, four key indicators of malnutrition are included in an index score. These four indices are as follows:

M.Tech in Food Process Engineering:

It is a two-year undergraduate level course. It educates students about the principles of various aspects of food. It also has expertise in the field of food process engineering. The minimum eligibility for this course is a B. Tech or BE graduation degree. Students doing this course gain skills in food plant design, innovation in products and processes and techniques to enhance them.

Certificate Course in Food and Nutrition

The National Food Security Act ensures adequate nutritious food choices for pregnant and lactating women with children aged between six and 14 months. IGNOU offers a course of six months to two years for this. It is believed to be a case of adequate nutritional income. Since food is essential for life and a significant portion of our life's expenditure is spent on it, its importance can never be less.
