Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh:Â The first anniversary of the new Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be marked with a series of vibrant cultural and religious programs. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has unveiled a meticulously curated schedule featuring religious discourses, musical and dance performances, along with traditional pujas.
Artistic Offerings and Devotional Performances
A special three-day event, Shri Ram Raag Sewa, will take place near the sanctum sanctorum. This initiative is part of Navdha Bhakti--nine forms of devotion to the divine. Artists will offer their talents as a form of service to Lord Ram, including singing hymns, storytelling, and classical dance performances.
The festivities will commence on January 11 with legendary singer Usha Mangeshkar and Mayuresh Pai performing devotional hymns. Following this, a sitar and violin jugalbandi by Sahitya Nahar and Santosh Nahar of the Banaras Gharana will mesmerize the audience. Renowned classical dancer Ananda Shankar will conclude the day's events with a Bharatnatyam performance.
On January 12, audiences will enjoy folk songs by Shailesh Srivastava, Ram bhajans by Kalapani Komkali, and a captivating flute recital by Grammy award winner Rakesh Chaurasia.
The final day, January 13, will showcase a Kathak performance by acclaimed artist Shovana Narayan, followed by a Carnatic music performance by the Trichur Brothers, Srikrishna Mohan and Ramkumar Mohan.
Ram Leela and Recitations Add Spiritual Essence
Additional highlights include a traditional Ram Leela, devotional performances by singer Anuradha Paudwal, and poetic recitations by Kumar Vishwas. The sacred Ram Charit Manas will also be read aloud, immersing devotees in divine stories and teachings.
Grand Rituals and Mantra Chants
The celebrations will begin with the chanting of Chapter 40 of the Rig Veda, accompanied by 1,975 offerings to the holy fire. Devotees will collectively chant the Shri Ram mantra 6.6 lakh times and recite the Hanuman Chalisa and Aditya Hriday Stotra, dedicated to Lord Hanuman and the Sun god, respectively.
Chief Minister’s Participation
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend the inaugural day, adding to the significance of the event. He is expected to deliver a discourse on the life and teachings of Lord Ram, highlighting the divine ideals that continue to inspire millions.
This grand celebration not only honors the spiritual significance of the Ram Mandir but also showcases India’s rich cultural heritage through music, dance, and devotion.
