Whatsapp launches fingerprint feature, users will get amazing experience

Whatsapp, the world's popular messaging app, has an entry with a great feature. This feature will further improve the security and privacy of the users. With the features released as 'Fingerprint Lock', you can also use your smartphone's fingerprint scanner for your WhatsApp account. The company launched this feature for iOS 7 months ago. As far as Android is concerned, WhatsApp is now offering this feature on a beta program. The company is making it available to beta-testers first to capture feature performance and bugs. The company is expected to roll out its stable version soon. If you can't wait for a stable version of this feature, you can try it as a WhatsApp beta user. Become such a beta user

First search your device in the Google Play Store and search WhatsApp. Scroll down and go to 'Become a beta tester'. Here you will see the 'I'am in' option. Tap on it. Then click on Join to confirm to become a beta user.

Open WhatsApp

Open WhatsApp on your smartphone. Tap on the 3 dots on the top right in the app. Tap to drop down the Settings option in the menu as soon as you're in.

Go to account

Tapping in Settings will open WhatsApp's Settings menu in front of you. Tap on the account option at the bottom of the profile photo here.

Search fingerprint lock

Tapping Privacy will open the list of privacy settings on your mobile screen. Scroll down the list. Here you will find the option of fingerprint lock under the blocked contacts. It remains by default deactivated.


Tapping on the fingerprint option will give you the option to turn on the Unlock with fingerprint sensor. Turn on the toggle given here. WhatsApp will ask you to confirm it as soon as you do so. Here you can choose the time to lock the fingerprint, emediatly, 1 minute or 30 minutes.
