JERUSALEM: Personal Computer and printer major HP Inc is laying off over 100 employees and most of the job cuts will be in HP Indigo, which is engaged in the production of digital printing machines.

According to marker.com, some of the layoffs will also come from HP's marketing system and headquarters, which oversees sales operations throughout the nation. HP  notably employs 2,600 people in Israel.

By the end of 2025, the corporation plans to eliminate around 4,000–6,000 jobs, or 7–11% of its workforce, it stated in November of last year.

By the conclusion of its fiscal year in 2025, the company expects to have saved at least USD 1.4 billion in annualised gross run rate costs and incurred restructuring and other costs of about USD 1 billion.

The HC Inc said in a statement that the decision in Israel "creates capacity to reinvest in growth priorities while adapting to current market challenges". "HP is committed to advancing the ongoing digitalization of business through innovation, customer value creation, and the deployment of cutting-edge technology. We pledge to treat everyone with openness, justice, compassion, and respect "the company said.

HP laid off about 60 employees from its Netanya branch in the country in October last year. HP Indigo Division is a division of HP's Graphic Solutions Business.

"HP Inc continues to innovate and create customer value and remains focused on driving the continued digitisation of industry with agility, creativity, and advanced technologies. We are committed to treating people with transparency, fairness, compassion, and respect," said the company.
