New Delhi: Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has made a big announcement on Friday. He said that this year the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) decided to give relaxation in the admission criteria due to the partial cancellation of 12th class examination by various boards due to corona.

The Union Minister has tweeted in this regard. Nishank has written in his tweet that apart from passing the JEE Advanced for admission to the IITs, he had to score a minimum of 75 percent in the 12th board examination or to make it to the top 20 percentile in the eligibility test. Nishank wrote in another tweet that, "In view of the partial cancellation of Class 12 examination by Bordeaux, the Joint Enrollment Board (JEB) has decided to waive the admission criteria for students who pass JEE Advanced 2020 this time.  "

In another tweet, Nishank wrote that "such eligible candidates who have passed the 12th standard examination will be eligible to get admission and the marks they get will not matter." Let us tell you that earlier it was reported that the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will talk about reducing the syllabus of JEE Advanced Examination and change in the entrance examination format. Let us tell you that this year, IIT Delhi is conducting the JEE Advanced Examination.
