Jaipur: The power struggle of Rajasthan is becoming more serious. BJP leader Sanjay Jain has been detained in the audio-tape scandal made public for the purchase of MLAs and the attempt to topple the Ashok Gehlot government. Meanwhile, a case has been registered by the BJP in the police case against the Mahesh Joshi, Randeep Surjewala and other leaders of the Congress. BJP leader Laxmikant has filed an audio clip against Congress Mahesh Joshi, Randeep Surjewala and others in Ashok Nagar police station and false statements of Congress.

According to information received from sources, Sanjay Jain has been taken into custody by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the State Police on Friday, amid the political drama going on in Rajasthan. Police have said that Sanjay Jain has been detained by the Rajasthan Police Special Operating Group (SOG) team under sections 124A and 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The SOG has said that Sanjay Jain is being detained and questioned.

Prior to this, the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the police registered a case against Union Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Congress rebel MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma and BJP leader Sanjay Jain in the case of tape scandal in Rajasthan. The SOG team also investigated the rebel MLAs by visiting the ITC Grand Bharat Hotel in Tawad, Haryana. It is known that two complaints were given to the SOG late Thursday night by the Chief Whip of the Assembly, Mahesh Joshi. These included charges of sedition, conspiracy to topple the government and horse-trading of MLAs against Union ministers Shekhawat, Sharma and Jain. Additional Director General of SOG and ATS Ashok Rathod said that on the complaint of Joshi, two cases were registered on Friday morning under Section 124-A (sedition), 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
