New Delhi: PM Modi was seen addressing the 116th episode of the 'Mann Ki Baat' program today. In which Prime Minister Modi asked the youth to join NCC. PM has said that 'Today is NCC Day. Prime Minister Modi has said that I myself have been an NCC cadet, and its experiences are invaluable to me. NCC has instilled a sense of discipline, leadership, and service in the youth. Whenever there is a disaster anywhere in the country, NCC cadets come forward and help.'
Young Leaders Dialogue to be organised on Youth Day: According to reports, PM Modi has said in the Mann Ki Baat program that 'Every year on 12th January, the country celebrates Youth Day on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The coming year is the 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. It will be celebrated in a special way and Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is going to be organised at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on 11-12th January.' PM Modi has said that 'From the ramparts of Red Fort, I have appealed to such youths to join politics, whose family members are not in politics, to connect one lakh such youths, new youths, with politics, many special campaigns are going to be run in the country.'
PM Modi has even praised Virendra, a resident of Lucknow, who is helping the elderly with digital life certificates. This has helped the elderly get a pension. Similarly, he praised Mahesh from Bhopal, who is teaching the elderly to make payments through mobile. After which the PM discussed Prakriti Arivagam of Chennai and Prayog Library of Gopalganj, Bihar, which are working to develop the habit of reading and learning in children.
Praised Indians living abroad: According to reports, PM Modi recently visited Caribbean countries. In the Mann Ki Baat program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that a mini-India is also being established in the Caribbean country of Guyana. Hundreds of years ago, people from India were taken to Guyana for farming and labor, and today people of Indian origin are leading in every field of politics, business, education, and culture. Like Guyana, Indians went to many countries of the world and made their mark there. Many Indians have been living in Oman for centuries and have made their place in the business world. Today they are citizens of Oman, but Indianness is in their veins.
Appreciation of social groups
The Prime Minister also mentioned the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan and said that under this campaign, 100 crore trees have been planted in just five months. The Prime Minister mentioned the Koodgal Trust of Chennai, which is working to increase the population of sparrows. This bird is important in maintaining biodiversity around us. The Prime Minister also praised the innovation started for waste management and mentioned two young women from Mumbai who are making fashionable clothes from waste cuttings. The Prime Minister mentioned many such NGOs and social groups who are working for the development of the country.
