During the “5G is now” summit in Shanghai, Huawei’s managing director found time to show off the company's success in the 5G business. He said that the Chinese telecommunications equipment supplier was able to conclude 50 commercial contracts around the world, making it the largest 5G equipment supplier in the world.

Supplies exceed 150,000 sets and contracts include countries such as South Korea, Finland, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Nokia and Ericsson are ranked second and third with 30 and 18 contracts, respectively.

Huawei dominates the market thanks to its 2160 5G SEP patents, while Nokia has 1516. Statistics show that 34% of 5G equipment comes from China, South Korea occupies 25% of the market, the United States and Finland - about 14% each, and Sweden only eight%.

It seems that, despite the US ban on Huawei 5G equipment, the company managed to maintain leadership worldwide.
