On Sunday, a huge cache of war-like supplies and explosives was found along the Indo-Myanmar border in south Mizoram's Siaha district. Two people were arrested in connection with the seizure by security forces and police. The operation was carried out at Ainak village, according to an Assam Rifles release, based on specific information.

The operation teaming Assam Rifles troopers and state cops constructed a mobile check station on the Indo-Myanmar border where the passage of vehicles was anticipated after learning about the transit of two trucks carrying explosives, stated. According to the statement, the joint operation team intercepted the two cars and collected a large stockpile of war-like items and explosives from them.

Two persons have been apprehended for carrying the war-like supplies, according to the report. Belox-10 explosives (124.2 kilogrammes), granular explosives (121.5 kilogrammes), gun powder explosives (49.9 kilogrammes), 3,950 detonators, 120 Lellier & Belliot 30-06 bullets, and 100 Lellier & Belliot

22 Hornet bullets, 12,000 meters of codex, and 106 tac shotgun ammunition belts, it said. The two cars used to transport the explosives and war-like supplies were also seized, according to the report. The two accused were handed over to the state police. 

According to the Assam Rifles statement, preliminary investigation revealed that the cars were rented by a Myanmar national for medical evacuation of Chin National Army (CNA) cadres to Aizawl. It went on to say that consignments were being sent to Myanmar to bolster the Chinland Defense Force (CDF), which is fighting the military regime.
