Huma Qureshi's web series Leila, recently released on Netflix, has been liked by many and the series is directed by Deepa Mehta. The series also shows a dark picture of future India, with dwindling resources causing a lot of trouble in the country and challenging Huma to shoot the series. She has also undergone a series of horrific situations and even had problems with her skin and had to undergo treatment for her skin.
Speaking to the film Companion about the challenges of the shoot Huma said that "shooting for Leila was quite challenging for me. Not only physically but also emotionally, it was quite challenging for me. One day I had to vomit in a scene, so I had to put something useless in my mouth and then go into the dirty water, two days after I had to get slapped. Then there was the garbage heap. So every day the torture for me was growing."
"Whatever the point, I was doing it for the camera, but somewhere it affects you," said Actress. "My producers were good enough because I was given the opportunity to stay in a fantastic hotel during this shoot. While the fact is that the film shoot was quite difficult and as the series was moving forward, I was getting sensitive to what I was being surrounded.
