Jabalpur: A major incident is coming to light from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh in which the husband and wife who looted for intoxication and fun have been taken into custody by the police. The couple has confessed to having committed seven incidents of a robbery at various police stations. During interrogation, both of them have given information about other members of the gang, whose search is on.

CSP Akhilesh Gaur said that at the time of patrolling, a man in a suspicious position was standing near Shanti Nagar Ryan School on Friday and Saturday night with an Axis scooty. On interrogation, the boy had given his name as Vicky alias Vikas (23), a resident of Adhartal. On suspicion, the police brought the man to the police station and interrogated him and he along with his wife Shreya Awasthi Rajput (21) confessed to having committed seven incidents of snatching of mangal sutra and purses from the neck of women in all the police station areas.

CSP Gaur said that the boy and the girl had a love marriage about a year and a half ago. There are several criminal cases registered against the boy in the past. The couple used to rob along with other members of their gang for fun and drink every day. On Saturday, the police produced the robber couple before the court from where they have been sent to jail. The police of other police stations will take his remand for questioning. The robber couple has reported about other members of their gang, in connection with which the search is going on.
