Bengaluru: A bride was allegedly forced to undergo virginity and pregnancy tests by her spouse without her knowledge in Bengaluru. The victim has filed complaints against her husband with police and court for harassment and suspecting her fidelity.

According to the report, the husband and wife both belong to North Karnataka and met on a matrimonial site. After a few days of initial interaction, they both decided to marry in November 2018.

Meanwhile, fifteen days before marriage, the victim lost her mother and went into depression, but the man, identified as one Sharath, misunderstood her and thought she wasn't happy with the marriage. The incident came to light when the next day after marriage the victim due to gastritis started throwing up. Sharath then immediately took her to a hospital. However, the victim was shocked when she realised that in the hospital doctors were testing her for pregnancy and virginity after she signed the consent forms without looking into the details.

The victim after the tests bashed Sharath and went on to stay at her sister's house. As per the reports, three months later, the accused filed for divorce at Parihar family counselling centre, where the counsellors called up for the victim and they were shocked to listen to her horrific ordeal.
