Chandigarh: Security agencies in Haryana have achieved a major breakthrough. In Sonipat, police have arrested three persons who were helping Pakistan-backed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. The arrested accused include the husband and wife and their third accomplice. The arrested accused have been identified as Ravi, Varinder Deep Kaur and Kanabh. Ravi and Varinder Deep Kaur are husband and wife, while Kanabh is their third partner. The accused husband and wife are residents of Tarn Taran in Punjab, while their third accomplice is from Jalandhar.

According to security agencies, the three accused were on their way to Delhi airport to flee abroad with fake passports when they were arrested. Sonipat police had received information from Jammu and Kashmir police that three Jaish-e-Mohammed assistants would leave Sonipat in a private vehicle. Photos were provided to the Sonipat police to identify the three suspects, after which the Sonipat police swung into action and started keeping an eye on every Naka between Ganaur-Murthal.

Meanwhile, on seeing a woman and two youths coming out of the car late on Sunday night, the police took them into custody after stopping them. When Ravi, his wife Varinder Deep Kaur and her accomplice Kanabh were checked, a fake passport prepared in Fatehabad was recovered from their possession.
