Prayagraj: A sensational case of the brutal murder of a husband and wife sleeping in a house in Sangam Nagari Prayagraj with a sharp weapon has come to light. The 10-month-old milk-faced child of the couple was released in the sensational incident committed by unidentified miscreants. Who committed the double murder and why, it is yet to be ascertained.
The incident took place in the Chandpur Saray area under Soraon police station area, about 45 km from the city. Dev Narayan Patel, 32, who runs a public service centre here, lived with his wife Ranjana and ten-month-old son Divyanshu. The whole family was sleeping on the verandah at night. Relatives and villagers came to know about the incident in the morning. The lock of the cupboard and box of the house was found broken and the contents were scattered.
It is feared that the sensational double murder has been carried out for resisting a robbery. Several senior police officials, fingerprint-forensic experts, and dog squad rushed to the spot when the incident was reported in the morning. However, no clues about the killers have been found yet.
