New Delhi: The Election Commission meeting led by the country's Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra brainstormed on assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, and Manipur. In the meeting, chief election commissioners of all states made their suggestions on the arrangements for the upcoming elections, the requirements of the security forces and the steps to be taken to comply with the most important corona rules.
State that assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur, Punjab, and Uttarakhand are likely to be held on schedule amid fears of the third wave of the corona. Recently, Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra had said that the Election Commission has learned a lot from the elections in four states including West Bengal during the epidemic and the Bihar assembly elections held earlier. So way the second wave of the corona is weakening. He also hopes to end it soon.
Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra said assembly elections in five states next year will be held as per schedule as the Commission has extensive experience in holding elections in the epidemic.
