Hyderabad: Art has no religion. This saying fits perfectly on a Hindu person. Hindu calligraphers are engraving verses of the Quran on the walls of the mosque of Hyderabad. Anil Kumar Chauhan, who has been engaged in the work of Calligraphy for more than 20 years, says, "I did not know the Urdu language, but I used to copy the Tahrir I found in Urdu. The words were identified by writing and this Thus I learned to read and write the Urdu language."

Chauhan's passion for calligraphy was born while painting signboards for a shop in Urdu. Regarding his journey, Chauhan says that with the passage of time, he learned to read and write the Urdu language. Soon people started recognizing his passion. He got his first opportunity to beautify the mosque with the verses of the Quran from Noor Mosque. A person impressed by Chauhan's calligraphic skills urged to fill the walls of Masjid-e-Noor with the verses of the Quran. But initially, it was not easy for him to showcase his art.

Some people opposed this work because Chauhan was a Hindu person. He sought permission from Jamia Nizamia University in Hyderabad to continue his work. Currently, Chauhan has written the verses of the Quran on the walls of more than 100 mosques. His work is being praised by both Hindus and Muslims. His art is also adorning the library of Jamia Nizamia University, where he has painted 'Surah Yasin' of the Quran. The locals are not tired of praising his art today. He says that there is no partiality with Chauhan anymore.
