Hyderabad gang-rape: Rape in Waqf Board's car, Owaisi MLA's son arrested

Hyderabad: Another major revelation has been made in the Hyderabad gang rape case. It is reported that the vehicle used in the crime is government. At present, the police have taken all the six accused named in the case into custody. They include the son of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA and a relative. Four of the accused are also minors.

According to media reports, the incident was carried out in the government vehicle Innova. Saduddin, an adult accused in the case, said the crime was committed in the Toyota Innova Crysta. Police have seized the vehicle from a farmhouse on the trail of the accused. It is reported that this vehicle is a woman, who belongs to a political family. It is learnt that the Innova was marked as a government vehicle, which was used by the top office bearers of the Wakf Board. The report quoted sources as saying that the Mercedes and innova were being driven by minors during the crime. Sources said the Mercedes used in the gang rape belongs to telangana MLA. However, the MLA says that the accused was not in the car at the time of the crime.

What is Hyderabad Gang Rape Case?

On May 28, the 17-year-old minor was returning home after a party. At the same time, she was gang-raped in Hyderbad Jubilee Hills area. The matter came to light when the victim's father lodged a complaint with the police. In a video that is going viral on social media, the victim was seen standing outside a pub with the accused. According to the report, the accused first asked the victim to take her to her house. Later, she was assaulted inside a parked car and then took turns to rape her by all of them. Meanwhile, the other accused were guarding outside the car.
