We all know that the Telangana police are aware of the safety of women and a special drive has been set up to create awareness from time to time. Now, a big step taken by the Telangana police. For the safety of women and children, RGIA Hyderabad has launched a help desk. Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said here on Monday after the help desk was launched at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Pointing out that RGIA is the fourth busiest airport in India after Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore airports, Sajjanar said that the Cyberabad police had taken the initiative to set up a helpdesk for women going to Hyderabad for work or other reasons, so they could reach for help in any emergency situation.

He said that women police constables would be available at 24X7 helpdesk to help the women in need, and request women who are facing teasing, stacking or any other atrocity to contact sheteams by messaging watsap number 9490617444 or using dial 100 facility. The RGIA administers 22 million passengers per year, with about 62,000 passengers a day. 30 to 35 per cent of these passengers are women, 9000 to 9500 passengers for both arrival and departure, emphasising the need for such an initiative.
