Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro commuters are facing challenges every day due to lack of facilities, which needs to be resolved quickly. There are very few stations where parking is available. Most of the metro stations lack proper parking facilities. According to regular metro commuters, the fare is very high. Their problems are compounded by the lack of proper parking facilities. There is a lack of first and last mile connectivity to reach a particular destination.
Though parking has been arranged on the footpath, most of the metro commuters claim that their vehicles have been challaned for violating traffic rules and parking in no parking zones. Earlier, Metro authorities had provided two-wheelers on hire for commuters commuting from one place to another for various purposes. But the rental vehicles ended up as major failures due to a lack of protection.
Commuters say there are many instances where the traffic police have wheeled cars and have towed two-wheelers from the metro station saying that the vehicle is parked in an unauthorized area. With the increasing number of commuters, commuters are facing challenges that they say need to be resolved quickly to ensure smooth and hassle-free local transport rides in the city.
