MG Motors is preparing to introduce its electric SUV in the coming month. MGS's new SUV based on MG ZS, the ZS EV is being designed primarily for India. On one hand, it will compete with Hyundai Kona Electric. Currently, its SUV has also been listed on the company's Indian website and has also made a teaser available. According to reports, MG Motors may introduce its ZS EV crossover SUV on December 5 this year, but its delivery will start from January next year. The British company, Morris Garage Motors, or MG Motors, owned by China-based SIAC Motor Corp, earlier introduced its electric SUV in the UK. Among the SUVs introduced for the first time, MG Pilot Driver Assistance Suite, Rapid Charging Technology, along with MG Pilot feature advanced emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control to give the consumer a stress-free driving experience.

It is being said that the five-seater electric SUV ZS EV comes with a 44.5 kW Lithium-ion front axle-mounted the electric motor, which will give the power of 141 bhp and torque of 353 Nm. Apart from this, it can get the latest responsive 8-inch color touchscreen infotainment system, which can also feature satellite navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth audio streaming, and DAB radio. On the other hand, there may be features like rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, climate control, alloy wheels, and OTA updates.

MG is also offering a seven-year warranty on its electric SUV ZS. Apart from this, it can cover a distance of up to 300 km in a single charge. This battery pack is built in MG GigaFactory, which is making more than 3 lakh batteries every year. On the one hand, the company claims that a 50 kW DC charger can charge up to 80 percent in just 40 minutes, while on the other hand, it will take seven hours to charge with a 7 kW charger. The company is talking about keeping its price between 20 to 23 lakh rupees. On the other hand, it was introduced in the UK at a price of £ 21,495 i.e. Rs 18.38 lakh. Earlier in India, Hyundai introduced its first electric SUV corner, which can cover 452 km on a single charge. Hyundai Kona can be priced at Rs 25.30 lakh, ex-showroom in India.
