Considering the good response Hyundai Automobiles are getting in India, the company is continuously launching new products and recently Hyundai is also looking at expanding its electric lineup in India. Which will be an affordable electric vehicle for India. It will be a Made-in-India and Made-for-India product, which can also be exported overseas. This new electric vehicle from Hyundai will be a sub-compact SUV. It is expected to be launched in India in the year 2022. The company is currently in talks with potential supplier partners. Hyundai's new electric SUV will be based on a flexible platform. This new architecture will be compatible with petrol-diesel as well as electric and hybrid powertrains.

The launch of this car postponed due to Corona virus

The production and export of this electric SUV in India will set a new dimension. Hyundai Kona is the company's first in the Indian market and currently the only electric vehicle. Hyundai's upcoming new electric SUV will give a range of 200-300 km on a full charge. It is too early to comment now about its price. However, in the market, it will compete with Tata Nexon EV, which is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh to 15.99 lakh. Hyundai launched it in India last year. In the 8 months of launch, the company has sold more than 300 units of Kona Electric SUV. Kona Electric is available in two variants - premium and premium dual-tone, priced at Rs 23.71 lakh and Rs 23.9 lakh respectively.
