Shamli: The farmer who came to meet the Collector in UP's Shamli pleaded that I am alive, get me my land back. The farmer said that Lekhpal has snatched my land by showing me dead in the papers. In this matter, after listening to the complaint of the farmer, the Collector of Shamli has ordered an inquiry. He said that this mistake will be rectified soon. According to the information received, farmer Jaipal Singh, a resident of Kudana, reached the collector's office and told the collector that 'I am alive, make me alive'.
This case is related to the Kudana village of the Sadar Kotwali area. The old farmer Jaipal Singh Malik, a resident of here, reached the collectorate and told the collector that 'I am alive, make me alive'. In fact, farmer Jaipal Singh alleges that he was shown as dead for the land chak number 262 located in the village by the Lekhpal and Assistant Consolidation Officer of the Consolidation Department after taking bribes. Thereafter, on the basis of fake inheritance, that land was given in the name of villager Subhash. Subhash sold that land to another person as soon as it came to his name.
The same farmer says that now he neither has land nor is he alive in the papers of the Consolidation Department. He has been troubled for many months by going around the Consolidation Department and other offices. Farmer Jaipal Singh reached Shamli Collectorate and met Collector Jasjit Kaur and complained about the matter to him. Farmer further described, When I reached the Magistrate Court in Muzaffarnagar, they saw my papers, they were surprised and the Magistrate made me sit in the court asking how are you alive when you are dead. The farmer said that he has come to Shamli to request the collector to make me alive on paper and get my land back. Shamli Collector Jasjit Kaur says that a farmer from Kudana has come to me, who has complained that Lekhpal has declared him dead in the papers. After getting this matter investigated, he will be made alive on paper. This mistake has happened because two persons have the same name. An inquiry has been ordered to rectify this mistake.
