Anand Chandrasekaran, Snapdeal’s chief product officer has been taken away by the Social Media Giant, Facebook. Facebook, has not yet confirmed the news of hiring or appointment of Chandrasekaran. Chandrasekaran, was the senior director of mobile and search products at Yahoo between 2011 and 2014, he was also a part of Airtel and Snapdeal for the past two and a half years, in India. He recalls his time in India was “most intense, humbling and incredible periods”, Chandrasekaran worked keeping hand-in-hand between the Silicon Valley and the Indian start-up ecosystem.

On his recruitment, which is not yet confirmed by the employer itself, Anand Chandrasekaran says  “I am super excited to share that building on learning and experiences, I am joining Facebook to work on Facebook Messenger platform. Really looking forward to working with Ime, David, Stan, John and the team to listen and learn and help build on the momentum”.

Facebook’s messenger is one of the most widely used mobile applications. And, as India has the second largest user database of facebook,they are planning to enhance their service. This implies Chandrasekaran’s recruitment.
