Rasika Dugal best known for her roles in Qissa and Shay, she has done several Bollywood movies, daily soaps in past. And now is busy with her new projects. She believes that working in all fields makes an actor more refined.
“In acting you need to approach everything equally. Films have been my first love, because I am an old-school theatre-going romantic! I would always keep that in my life. But I also enjoyed the kind of space the web allows. There is no censorship, so you can experiment so much. Also, a lot of my work has reached out to a much wider audience through it. My short film Chutney currently has 100 million views, I had never imagined my work could reach out to so many people,” she says.
But she thinks if you want a long run then television is more beneficial “My experience has been limited with television. I was there in P.O.W.- Bandi Yudhh Ke. In a film, you shoot for about two months at the most, but on television I shot for around six months, so you get a lot of time to build your character and learn.” says Dugal.
“There are very few times when actors can say that! I am very greedy and ambitious that way. With every project I do, I feel I can do much better,” says Rasika.
