Paris: India formally took over the presidency of the G20 group from Indonesia on December 1. The G20 summit will be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10 next year and will be attended by top leaders of the member countries. After India took over the leadership of the G20 group, many countries have expressed hope that the G20 Summit to be held in India under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi will prove to be decisive. French President Emmanuel Macron has also expressed confidence in PM Modi and said that he (Modi) will be able to unite everyone to bring peace and stability in the whole world.

The French President tweeted, "One earth, one family, one future. India has taken over the presidency of the G20. I am confident that my friend Narendra Modi will bring us all together to bring peace and stability in the world." Before Emmanuel Macron, US President Joe Biden had said that he is looking forward to supporting his friend PM Modi during India's G20 presidency.

Biden had tweeted on Friday that, 'India is a strong partner of America. I am excited to support my friend PM Modi during India's G20 presidency. Biden had said that the two countries would pursue sustainable and inclusive development while tackling joint challenges such as climate, energy, and food crises. He had said, 'India's G-20 priorities will be shaped in consultation with not only our G-20 partners but also our fellow countries in the southern part of the world, whose voices are often ignored.'
