On September 8, Melis Atici and Vipul Roy welcomed a daughter into the world. Vipul's joy is understandable. He says, "Both of us are incredibly happy to welcome our child into this world. It's slowly beginning to sink in. I had a hard time accepting that I was a father at first. She started crying, and that's when it dawned on me that our family now includes a young child. That feeling defies description in words.
Vipul is happy that he was present for his wife's delivery. I was allowed to be in the room where Melis was giving birth, he claims. I was given the opportunity to cut the umbilical cord and pull my baby out by myself while holding her head. I did it myself and held my baby girl for the first time because it felt so good. It was bizarre.
At their Mumbai residence, the festivities have already started. According to Vipul, "Pink was used as the theme for decorating the entire room. We are currently purchasing toys and other items for our infant. My whole family is present. We are joined by my parents and sister, who will assist us in the early days of caring for the infant. I'm ready for all the nights spent awake!

The couple has always been in a long-distance relationship due to the nature of their jobs. Melis owns an IT business and is based in San Francisco, California, USA. Vipul responds, "I have to be here because of my work," when asked how the two will get along. I haven't made a decision yet; neither has Melis. We are all currently celebrating in Mumbai.
