Expert shuttler Saina Nehwal, who has been on a rebound trail subsequent to experiencing a surgery on her correct knee, on Sunday said that she was not completely fit in her last two competitions but rather played in them as she needed to test herself against top players in that physical condition.

Previous world number one Saina lost in the quarterfinals in Hong Kong Open Super Series and Macau Open Grand Prix Gold competitions after her surgery.

"I am recouping admirably, I played two competitions and achieved quarterfinals and that was only the beginning. I would state after the recovery, I simply played for 2-3 weeks and I simply needed to test myself how good I am at that stage and in spite of the fact that I knew I was not 100 for each penny fit, I needed to return and play with most abnormal amount players," Saina told

She said her mentor Vimal Kumar exhorted her not to play in Hong Kong and Macau so not long after the surgery yet she demanded to partake in them. "That is the thing that he was letting me know. "I require some more opportunity to be completely fit and I am certain the following season will be great when I return with full wellness. I am certain with the sort of wellness, I will get back again and exhibitions will begin showing signs of improvement," she included.

"Recovery was better than average, I might want to say thanks to Dinshaw Pardiwala who did my surgery truly well and might want to express gratitude toward Heath Matthews who is my physio at this moment, who is helping me such a great amount of recovery. He is working with me, giving me incredible projects. In view of that I could return so early, generally, individuals can't envision to return inside 5-6 months after such sort of surgery."
