Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that the country suffered embarrassment due to the controversial remarks made by BJP leaders on Prophet Mohammad and Arab countries reacted sharply to the issue and pressured India to apologise. Addressing a rally in Aurangabad, Chief Minister Thackeray said that on the one hand inflation is rising and the rupee is weakening (against the dollar), on the other hand, there is a concern about finding a Shivling in the mosque.
"I will not only rename Aurangabad as Sambhaji Nagar but will also change the city that Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj will be proud of. I will fulfil the promise made by my father to change the name (of Aurangabad) to Sambhaji Nagar. The Chief Minister said that one and a half years ago, a resolution was passed by the state legislature and sent to the Centre to change the name, but no decision has been taken in this regard so far.
"Hindutva is in our every breath. I never forgot that my late father Balasaheb Thackeray had promised that Aurangabad would be renamed, Sambhaji Nagar. I haven't forgotten it... we'll change it. ”
