Indian political leader and Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackrey’s upcoming biopic is making quite a buzz since its trailer.  Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer is slated to release of January 25. Babasaheb had good relationship with many Bollywood celebrities. Now, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan shared the fact that he and Bal Thackeray had shared a special bond.

Amitabh Bachchan who was invited as a special guest at the teaser launch of Thackrey shared an incident when Balashaeb helped him. He talked about how Balasaheb stood by his side in the times of difficulty. In one of his statements, actor recalled the time he went into a critical state while shooting for ‘Coolie’. He was rushed to Mumbai where it seemed like the weather was against him and no ambulance could reach to pick him up. It was Shiva Sena ambulance provided by Bal Thackeray that helped him.

Big B said that  “Balasaheb helped me when I needed it most. If it had not been for him, I would not have been alive today,”

Amitabh Bachchan shared other stories of him and Thackeray and told how they both shared a special friendship with each other during the trailer launch event.
