He further said that among the challengers to Kohli-Rohit will be the pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, who kept the international bowlers in trouble for 15 years. Sachin-Saurabh spent most of their time in front of the best fast bowling attack. Ian Chappell wrote in an article, 'Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis from Pakistan, Kurtley Ambrose and Courtney Walsh from the West Indies, Glenn McGrath and Brett Lee from Australia, Alan Donald and Sean Pollack from South Africa and Lasith Malinga and Chaminda from Sri Lanka were the real test of the skill of any batsman. With this, Chappell said, 'Kohli and Rohit are the best pair for the white ball. Their combined record of ODI and T20 is excellent. Kohli has scored an average of over 50 in both formats. Sachin has played very few T20 Internationals and by the time this format became popular, Ganguly's career was over.
