ICC Awards 2020: Kohli became best ODI cricketer of the decade

New Delhi: The International Cricket Council has announced several other awards on Monday, furthering its 2020 award. In this, the current captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, won two awards, while former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was given a special honour for the spirit of the game.

While Virat was adjudged the best ODI cricketer of the decade by the ICC, Dhoni was awarded the ICC Spirit of the Cricket Award of the Decade for Sportsmanship. The ICC declared Virat as the best ODI cricketer of the decade and wrote in the caption, 'The only player to score more than 10,000 ODI runs during the ICC Award period.' During this, he grabbed 39 centuries, 48 half-centuries and 112 catches, also averaged 61.83.

Captain Kohli was adjudged the best male cricketer of the decade for his outstanding performances and tremendous play in every format and was awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Award. Explain that Virat scored the most 20,396 runs, 66 centuries, 94 fifties at an average of 56.97 in more than 70 innings in this decade.
