New Delhi: Team India captain Virat Kohli and batsman KL Rahul have lost one position each in the latest T20 rankings of batsmen released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Virat and Rahul were earlier in the fourth and fifth position respectively, but now both batsmen have reached the fifth and sixth position in the rankings. At the same time, New Zealand's Devon Conway has made a tremendous jump due to his best performance against Bangladesh and he has climbed 5 places to number four.
England batsman David Malan remains the number one batsman in the rankings with 892 points as before. Australia's limited over cricket captain Aaron Finch currently has 830 points and is second on the list. Pakistan captain Babar Azam is in third place with 801 points. There is a difference of only 22 rating points between Virat and Conway.
In the T20 bowler rankings released by the ICC, South Africa's Tabrez Shamsi is at the top with 733 points. Below them is Afghanistan's star spinner Rashid Khan, who has 719 points. In the third, fourth, and fifth positions are Ashton Agar, Adil Rashid, and Mujib ur Rehman of Australia respectively. The surprising thing is that in this ranking of bowlers, not a single Indian bowler is in the top 10, while New Zealand has the most three bowlers.
A sizzling 52-ball 92* in the first T20I against Bangladesh has helped Devon Conway continue his rise up the rankings!
