New Delhi: Lakhs of covid testing is being carried out every day in the country amid the corona epidemic. Corona investigation records have been set several times in the last one year. Though people have more faith in RT-PCR testing, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (ICMR) has created a technology that will help you know in just three hours whether you have a corona or not. It will be used to detect corona infections. ICMR has also approved this technology.

It will not be necessary to collect the iner sliva in this test. It will have a tube with a saline. People will need to put this saline in their mouth and then gargle for 15 seconds to check the corona. When the person is gargling, he has to spit in the tube and give it for testing. Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has termed the technology as remarkable innovation. "This technology can prove to be a game-changer," he said. Dr Krishna Khairnar, Senior Scientist, Environmental Virology Cell, Neeri said, "Neeri had considered making the sample collection simple and patient friendly. At least you can take samples by not hurting the patient".

He further said that 'Saline has to drink and then gargle. In three hours, we can give a RT-PCR report. We have just got the approval of the ICMR and we have been asked to train the rest of the labs. The first batch has arrived in Niri today with testing yet to take place'. He further said that people will be able to do this testing on their own, which will not crowd the testing centre and will save a lot of time. At the same time, there will be no risk of being infected with others at the centre.
