LOS ANGELES: Hollywood Actress Idina Menzel's former boyfriend almost abandoned her in Paris after they spent the whole vacation fighting.

The 51-year-old actress stated that she went on her "first romantic holiday" with an ex-boyfriend from her 20s, and that they battled so much in Paris that he nearly broke up with her before they finally got back together, reports by femalefirst.co.uk.

She said the following on "The Kelly Clarkson Show": "We travelled to Paris on my first romantic getaway when I was about 25. However, he almost abandoned me there, right in front of this restaurant, because I was driving him crazy. It came to my mind, "This is Paris!" You can't fight in Paris, I would think every time we would argue over something, but things only became worse and worse. But he kept me around. He was extremely Type A, although I'm creative. I dunno. He was very cerebral and resembled a lawyer. I'm hoping he's not looking!" While the new documentary "Which Way To The Stage?" was originally intended to follow the "Disnenchated" star's 2018 tour, it ended up focusing on her "crazy mom" experience as she tried unsuccessfully to undergo IVF therapy.

She said: "After 16 or 17 performances, I discovered that I would be performing at Madison Square Garden. Growing up on Long Island, that was the place to go in New York. So, I recorded it and had tonnes of amazing footage. I first thought it would be like a "journey to the garden" scenario, but it turned out to be a tale of a mother going insane.

"I was doing IVF at the time and had a career and was trying to get back for basketball games and trick-or-treating. Though I tried in my 40s and had a lovely young son, I came to the game late. Although it didn't work out, I gave it my best effort.

"I had to visit the doctor the morning of Madison Square Garden, check my hormone levels, and do all of this other stuff. So the documentary turned out to be more about me trying to live my life than about a lady attempting to have a spectacular rock show at MSG."
