The Indian Government has announced an investigation committee to investigate the conspiracy behind the murder of terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. After this decision, American lawmakers of Indian origin have welcomed this step of the Indian government. US Congress MPs Ami Bera, Pramila Jayapal, Ro Khanna, Shri Thanedar and Raja Krishnamurthy termed the allegations against Nikhil Gupta in connection with the failed conspiracy to murder Pannu as worrying. He also said that if the Indian investigating officers do not investigate the Pannu case properly then it is affecting India-America relations.

The MPs issued a statement together: According to the information received so far, the American Indian MPs have discussed the allegations against Nikhil Gupta in connection with the failed conspiracy to murder Pannu in New York. A statement has also been given after receiving information from the Biden administration.

America responded to Nikhil Gupta:  Reports say that US lawmakers have said that "We will take a call on the Justice Department's allegations against Nikhil Gupta by the Biden administration. He is also praising the giving of classified briefing, in which it has been alleged that an Indian Government official has also been involved in the conspiracy to murder an American citizen (Pannu).
