Officials said the hijack attempt was reported on Thursday and the Indian Navy deployed its patrol aircraft for its mission in the incident area early Friday. The information received so far may have been hijacked by Somalia's pirates.

Anti-piracy patrol vessel deployed: The Navy said its aircraft flew over the hijacked ship and were continuously monitoring the ship's movements. An Indian Navy spokesperson said, "Responding quickly to the developing situation, the Indian Navy deployed its naval maritime patrol aircraft to conduct surveillance in the area and to detect and assist MV Rouen in countering piracy in the Gulf of Aden. Sent on hostile patrol."

Close monitoring of the ship's activities: Navy spokesperson said, "The aircraft flew over the hijacked ship on the morning of 15 December and the aircraft is continuously visible on the activities of the ship, which is now off the coast of Somalia. Moving towards." The officer said that the Indian Navy's warship deployed in the Gulf of Aden for anti-piracy patrol also stopped MV Rouen on Saturday morning.
