"If Centre Permits, Ready For Phased-Reopening Of Schools": Kerala Education Minister

Kerala State  Education Minister V Sivankutty has said that schools shall be opened in a phased manner if the center's consent comes through.  The opening shall be as per guidelines of the central government and recommendations of Covid experts committee, the minister said. He said, all preparations are in place in the eventuality of a physical re-opening.

Further, Counselors shall be deployed to help with mental stress confronting children. It is being endeavored to provide counselors at all schools. Assessment is on to get count of children who might be lacking digital devices. At a point when learning is fully rendered digitally, it shall be endeavored to provide all children with digital devices.
Digital/online classes can't be a permanent phenomenon in the pandemic. As soon as there is approval for children’s vaccine, doses shall be administered to all students, the minister said.

Teachers had given added attention in the online classes too. Attempts on social media to belittle outstanding students is heinous, the minister said in the Assembly.
