New Delhi: BJP MP Subramanian Swamy said Gautam Gambhir to ignore the self-generated Naxalite promoted anonymous pamphlet and not be defensive about it.  

Swamy  said that if Gambhir needs any help in courts then he will be happy to help him out. Swami tool to Twitter and wrote, “Why is Gambhir so defensive about a bogus self generated Naxalite promoted anonymous letter? He should ignore it . If a dumb Commission issues notice just ignore that. If Gambir needs help in Courts I will be happy to help him.”

On Gambhir’s statement that he will hang himself in public, Swamy termed it a “cinema dialogue” and said that the BJP candidate needs a teacher.

Accusing cricketer-turned-politician of circulating pamphlets with derogatory and casteist remarks against his rival candidate Atishi Marlena the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sent a legal notice to BJP and its East Delhi candidate.

According to the report of ANI, The AAP party has also sought apology from both the parties in writing and has also asked them to publish the same 'along with true and correct facts' in newspapers within 24 hours. The notice further warns that if they fail to do so then legal proceedings both criminal (for the "offence" of criminal defamation and civil suit (for recovery of damages) will be initiated against them.

Later, Atishi complained to the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) blaming the BJP and her rival Gautam Gambhir for getting the pamphlet published.

Gambhir rehected the charge and sent a notice to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and Atishi demanding that they withdraw the allegation and tender an unconditional apology over the matter.
